Barry O’Farrell joins Young Libs to kick off Victoria Road Campaign PDF Print E-mail
NSW State Liberal Leader, Barry O’Farrell, joined the NSW Young Liberal President, Scott Farlow, Campaigns Director Simon Fontana, and local Young Liberals to launch a joint campaign to highlight traffic congestion on Victoria Road at Drummoyne today. As part of the campaign Young Liberals will be out in the traffic calling on local residents to start the change and sign the petition against the State Labor Government’s flawed Victoria Road traffic policies online at www.startthechange.com.au.


NSW Liberal Leader Barry O’Farrell and NSW Young Liberal President Scott Farlow “The State Labor Government has failed to do anything to ease traffic on Victoria Road over the last four years,” Mr O’Farrell said.
 
“Under Labor, traffic on the already congested Victoria Road has become even slower, falling from an average 29km/h in 2004 to 23/km/h in 2008 during peak hour,” he said.

Politics heats up at Fashion Parade PDF Print E-mail
The 2008 Liberal Party Fashion Parade was recently held in a beautiful heritage space at the Royal Automobile Club of Australia. Fashion veteran Charlie Brown was front row to see her designs, as well as those of Camilla Franks, Lili and Young Liberal Sonia Lipski, on the catwalk. The MCs for the evening were celebrity hairdresser Joh Bailey and Marilyn Koch. The show was wonderfully choreographed by Adam Williams, a choreographer from So You Think You Can Dance.

Young Libs rally for Red Nose Day PDF Print E-mail
dscf6322.jpgContinuing our tradition of supporting the charity SIDS & Kids, Young Liberals descended on Martin Place to sell Red Nose Day products. On one of Sydney's most chilly mornings yet, Young Liberals helped raise thousands of dollars for this worthwhile charity. SIDS & Kids is an international leader in the field of health promotion, dedicated to the elimination of sudden and unexpected infant death.

Young Liberals greeted commuters with smiles that saw even a bus driver stopped at a red light on Castlereagh St motion for our volunteers to come over and sell him products through his window.

David and his colleagues openly shared their career highlights, experiences and challenges, and spoke of the role of project finance as an essential component of infrastructure development in this country, and in particular, through Public/Private Partnerships (PPPs).
