NSW Young Liberal President, Scott Farlow, today congratulated Tony Abbott on his election as the Leader of the Federal Liberal Party and welcomed the Party Room’s decision to vote against Kevin Rudd’s ETS Tax. “The Young Liberal Movement congratulates Tony Abbott on his election as Leader of the Federal Liberal Party,” Mr Farlow said. “Tony Abbott has been a longtime friend of the Young Liberal Movement in New South Wales and across Australia. He has always been a man of principle and conviction and will unite the Coalition and take up the fight to Kevin Rudd,” he said.
“It was with great honour last year that I moved Mr Abbott’s life membership of the Young Liberal Movement. Young Liberals everywhere are very proud that another Life Member of the Movement follows in John Howard’s footsteps to lead the Liberal Party.

The Young Liberals recently hit the streets with the NSW Liberal's State Parliamentary team to mark Nathan Rees' first year as Premier. Unfortunately for the people of NSW there's nothing to celebrate and we're all calling out for Nathan Rees to pull the plug and give the people of NSW the chance to elect a new Government.
